Sweet and Savory Orange-Cranberry Sauce
- 1 bag fresh cranberries
- 2/3 cup juice from two oranges
- 1 tablespoon orange zest (or, zest from two oranges)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2/3 cup cane sugar (optional coconut sugar)
- 1/3 cup water
- Heat all ingredients over medium heat until simmering. Reduce heat and simmer on low heat for 20-25 minutes or until cranberries are soft, and liquid is reduced and thickened.
- Smash cranberries into liquid, leaving some of them whole.
- Allow to cool to room temperature then refrigerate until chilled and very thick, at least 4 hours.
- Serve and enjoy!
